Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist licensed nurses with treatment plans, including wound care and medication administration (under supervision).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to update on patient status.
- Document all care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) meticulously.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed (physical stamina required).
- Valid state-issued ID and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
