Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding for patients who require dietary support.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document daily care activities and patient observations in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Ohio CNA license required.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory.
