Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents.
- Complete accurate documentation and charting in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current and active Maryland CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II).
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable work ethic.
