Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and mobility exercises as prescribed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of Minnesota.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health preferred.
