Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Accurately record and report changes in patient health status, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Medication Management: Assist patients with medication reminders and ensure proper documentation of administered treatments.
- Wound Care: Change dressings and monitor incision sites as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, providing a comforting presence during their recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Georgia CNA license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS):** Must hold a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and transfer patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Demonstrated history of punctuality and dependability in previous roles.
