Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses and document all care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff in accordance with facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by the State of Colorado.
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
