Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Monitor patient health status, report changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties in patient rooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and currently active in Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Reliable transportation for on-site assignments.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
