Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
- Document all patient care activities and any changes in the patient's condition in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
