Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature as directed by the nursing staff.
- Document Care: Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records and care plans in accordance with facility protocols.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and fellow staff members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain Environment: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification: Valid Louisiana CNA license required.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or home health preferred.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Empathy: Genuine compassion and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety regulations.
