Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients and visitors.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina State CNA license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and excellent time management skills.
