Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, maintaining accuracy in all documentation.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in meaningful conversations and social activities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, families, and residents to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with health care standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (Kansas state license).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
