Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and monitor fluid intake.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Document all patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
