Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Observe and record patient health status, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient updates and concerns to the nursing staff and family members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Wisconsin CNA certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
