Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support with dignity and respect.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required or willingness to obtain.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for extended periods and assist with patient transfers.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
