Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide basic bedside care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Support the nursing staff in administering medications, changing wound dressings, and providing personal hygiene care.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports any changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse promptly.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kansas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid CPR card.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and transfer patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
