Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance
- Accurate vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Mobility support and safe transfer techniques
- Meal assistance and nutritional monitoring
- Emotional companionship and patient advocacy
- Collaboration with RNs and interdisciplinary teams
- Strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Emergency response and CPR certification maintenance
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience preferred
- Flexibility to work between 16-32 hours weekly
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper technique
- Clear criminal background check and TB test
- Strong communication and observational skills
