Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Perform instrument sterilization and OSHA compliance protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Manage patient charts and digital record systems
- Deliver post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (NY State required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in radiography techniques and infection control
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
