Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital radiography systems
- Manage patient records and update dental software efficiently
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care instructions
- Coordinate patient scheduling and insurance verification processes
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from CODA or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental office
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Oklahoma state dental radiography permit
