Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop diagnostic images
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal operatory readiness
- Perform infection control procedures and maintain sterilization standards
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Update patient records using digital practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DA or EFDA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- PA radiology license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Saturdays
