Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort in mind
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Administer topical anesthetics and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA license)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent chairside manners and ability to reduce patient anxiety
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Ability to work 3-4 days per week (Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm)
