Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Administer topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education
- Maintain strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Proficiency with dental imaging software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Spanish fluency highly valued (50%+ patient base)
