Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control protocols
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to calm anxious patients
- Knowledge of dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, etc.) preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
