Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and suction control
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and safety
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols to OSHA standards
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical inventory
- Take accurate patient medical histories and vital measurements
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with administrative duties
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and dental software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings
- CPR/BLS certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
