Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop digital dental X-rays with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Administer topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments
- Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
- Coordinate inventory of dental supplies
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 3-4 days per week (including Saturdays)
- Valid Kentucky dental radiography permit
