Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chairside assistance during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures, and educate them on post-treatment care.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and efficiently.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and order necessary dental materials and instruments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.
- Chairside Duties: Prepare instruments, mix materials, and suction as needed during procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a dental setting is highly desired.
- Licensure: Valid PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain a sterile environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a part-time schedule, including some evenings or Saturdays if required.
