Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain organized supply cabinets
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Saturdays
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
