Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photos.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization and sanitation protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in, update medical histories, and provide post-op instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program (RDA or EFDA preferred).
- Licensure: Current Arizona Dental Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and digital imaging.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and ability to work well under pressure.
