Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Manage patient flow and maintain clean exam rooms
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Update electronic health records accurately and timely
- Coordinate referrals and prescription refill requests
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in and scheduling
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Michigan state certification or willingness to obtain
