Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurements and history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain sterile exam environments
- Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising providers
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling efficiently
- Perform routine lab tests and specimen processing
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Current Texas Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to multitask in high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
