Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and documentation
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Pennsylvania state license to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including some evenings
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
