Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take vital signs, prepare patients, and maintain accurate medical records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKG procedures
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments, handle phone triage, and manage front desk duties
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
