Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations
- Inventory medical supplies and assist with equipment sterilization
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) or graduate of accredited program
- 1+ years of clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and MS Office
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Illinois CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to work evenings and weekends (20-30 hours/week)
