Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough health assessments and monitor patient conditions to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and electronic health record systems.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating quick decision-making and clinical excellence.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital hygiene and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in Medical-Surgical preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly to patients and families.
- Compassion: Strong commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and professionalism in high-pressure environments.
