Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy services
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
