Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, medical history reviews, and accurate vital signs measurement.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols for all medical instruments and equipment.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) by updating patient charts, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance verification.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical supplies for daily operations.
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients regarding treatment plans and instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Diploma or Associate Degree).
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
