Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical history reviews and vital sign measurements.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and securely.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage incoming phone inquiries professionally.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy and specimen handling.
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining confidentiality.
