Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Perform phlebotomy and basic lab specimen processing
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Valid California driver's license (if travel between sites required)
