Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and allergies accurately.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient appointments and facilitate smooth front-desk operations.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA (or equivalent) required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and HIPAA compliance.
- Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
