Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Triage: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and accurately record medical histories to ensure a seamless check-in process.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses by performing vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Laboratory Procedures: Collect blood, urine, and other specimens for lab testing, adhering to strict safety and quality control standards.
- Administrative Management: Maintain patient charts, schedule appointments, and process insurance claims and billing information efficiently.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions to promote better health outcomes.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of medical supplies and office materials to prevent shortages during shifts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
