Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Perform and document accurate vital signs, height, weight, and BMI measurements.
- Prepare patients for examinations and provide clear instructions on pre-procedure requirements.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by the provider.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment to ensure infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the AHA.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic or Cerner experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evening shifts.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and HIPAA compliance regulations.
