Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform and document accurate vital signs, height, weight, and BMI measurements.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and provide clear instructions on pre-procedure requirements.
  • Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment to ensure infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the AHA.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic or Cerner experience is a plus).
