Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and escort them to examination rooms.
- Clinical Support: Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and assist providers with patient examinations.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, process insurance verification, and handle basic billing inquiries.
- Preparation: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure strict sterilization protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Medical Assistant certification in the state of New York.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and computer software.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
