Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by interviewing them, recording medical histories, and measuring vital signs.
- Assist providers during patient visits, including drawing blood and administering injections as directed.
- Manage and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis.
- Greet patients and manage the front desk reception area during shifts.
- Ensure examination rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or GED required.
