In this role, you will play a vital role in our patient care process, ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly while providing a welcoming environment for every patient who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, ensuring data integrity.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and minor procedures, maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare patients for exams, sterilize instruments, and collect specimens for lab testing.
- Manage patient intake and check-out processes efficiently using the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications according to strict standing orders and protocols.
- Provide patient education on medications and post-procedure care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required; graduation from an accredited program is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends as required.
