Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and conduct accurate check-ins and intakes.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, height) and other clinical data.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws or urinalysis, under supervision.
- Provide patient education and answer routine health questions to ensure informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
