Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and obtain comprehensive patient history.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures and minor surgeries.
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic lab work including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
- Maintain and update patient charts in the EMR system, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
- Ensure the examination rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with medical supplies.
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk flow to ensure minimal wait times.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and reliable transportation.
