Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed healthcare providers.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and health maintenance.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the state of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS Certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems.
- Empathy and patience when interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
