Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurate vital signs monitoring with a high level of empathy and professionalism.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform venipuncture and other basic laboratory duties as directed by medical staff.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care to ensure seamless service.
- Provide clear, concise patient education regarding medications, treatments, and wellness plans.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA or RMA certification preferred).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
