Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking, vitals, and physical assessments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs, under provider supervision.
- Manage patient records, ensuring all documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage incoming calls, and handle patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
