Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with precision and timeliness
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Code medical services using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through effective communication
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coding compliance
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
