- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Code medical services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with insurance payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong understanding of insurance claim processes and EOBs
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for patient and insurer interactions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
